EA Statement on SCOTUS Decision re Roe v Wade

The Endocrine Alliance would like to express its concern with the recent decision of the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) in overturning Roe vs Wade. We join other professional organizations including the AMA, CMSS, ACOG, AACE, and the Endocrine Society in supporting a woman’s reproductive rights, both in pregnancy and contraception. This SCOTUS decision endangers women and will place an undue burden on many vulnerable communities.

As endocrinologists, we believe that the sensitive decisions regarding reproductive health (and hormones) should remain between physician and patient, not with politicians.
