Announcing Our New Name

Dear Members,

Happy New Year from the MASE Board of Directors! We hope you had a safe and joyous holiday season.

We are pleased to announce that our organization’s new name, the Mid-Atlantic Society of Endocrinologists, has officially been approved! We are very excited for our transition into an independent society, one that shall represent its members for the purpose of insuring optimal care and the highest standard of medical practice for patients with endocrine disease and related disorders, serving as an advocate for and to the physicians and care team treating patients with endocrine disease and related disorders, and serving as a resource for the development of policy concerning endocrine disease.

MASE is working diligently on exciting events for 2021. Our program chair, Dr. David Lieb, is planning a phenomenal program for our next Annual Meeting, taking place October 22-23, 2021, at the College Park Hotel & Conference Center in Hyattsville, MD.

We’d also like to take a moment to welcome our 2020-2021 Fellow-in-Training Representative, Dr. Anna Zenno, from the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, MD. Dr. Zenno is a clinical fellow in NIH’s Inter-Institute Endocrinology Fellowship Program. Dr. Zenno and Dr. Lieb are working together to plan new virtual events for our MASE fellows in 2021!

A quick reminder to our members, we no longer have any affiliation with AACE, therefore, it is not a requirement to be affiliated with AACE to be a member of MASE. Members of the Mid-Atlantic AACE chapter have been grandfathered into membership for the Mid-Atlantic Society of Endocrinologists. Additional membership information is coming soon to our website. We cannot thank you all enough for your continued support. After a very challenging year, we are looking forward to a bright future as the Mid-Atlantic Society of Endocrinologists.
