Important AACE Chapter Notice
posted: August 21, 2020
Dear Colleagues,
The Mid-Atlantic Board of Directors and I were notified last week that the National AACE organization “is to discontinue the AACE chapter structure and allow local chapters to further function as independent entities." This decision will take effect on October 1, 2020. You may have already received similar communication directly from National AACE. Although this deadline is unreasonably stringent, I want to reassure you that we have been working diligently to ensure a seamless transition and to maintain our regional functions as an independent organization moving forward.
On behalf of the Mid-Atlantic Board of Directors, I am writing to express our commitment to support, promote, sustain clinical endocrinology, and advocate for clinical endocrinologists regionally and nationally. We will continue to operate independently under a new name and logo while serving the educational needs for and supporting the clinical practice of our members. Our very first VIRTUAL Annual Meeting on October 24, 2020 will continue as planned and will be FREE. I encourage you to register today on our website.
Our regional organization has had a respected reputation and been one of the strongest in the country. We are indebted for dedicated and resilient members such as you. We will continue to thrive, prosper, and grow stronger together. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns at mid-atlantic-aace@wjweiser.com. We are here for you!
Sincerely,
Dr. Vinh Q. Mai, FACE, FACP
President, Mid-Atlantic Chapter of AACE
