Announcing the Southern Society of Endocrinologists

posted: February 12, 2021

Dear Membership and Endocrine Community,

We are pleased to announce that our organization’s new name, the Southern Society of Endocrinologists (SSE), has officially been approved! We are very excited for our transition into an independent society, one that shall represent its members for the purpose of insuring optimal care and the highest standard of medical practice for patients with endocrine disease and related disorders, serving as a spokesperson for and to the physicians treating patients with endocrine disease and related disorders, and serving as a resource for the development of policy concerning endocrine disease.

We would also like to announce that our 2021 Annual Meeting, originally scheduled to be held in-person in Franklin, TN, is going fully VIRTUAL and will be held over Zoom. The meeting takes place Saturday, June 5, 2021. While we are disappointed that we will not be meeting in person, we are confident that this year’s meeting will prove to be as informative as previous years and we’re hopeful we’ll all be together again in 2022. We look forward to having you join us online. Online registration is officially open and we highly encourage you to register today to receive the early-discounted rate!

A quick reminder for members of the society, we no longer have any affiliation with AACE, therefore, it is not a requirement to be affiliated with AACE to be a member of SSE. Members of SS-AACE have been grandfathered into membership for SSE. Additional membership information is coming soon to our website. If you have any questions, please contact Victoria Cather at victoria@wjweiser.com.

Sincerely,

Dr. Lisa S. Usdan
President, Southern Society of Endocrinologists
